Man Shot Dead in Wembley: Murder Probe Underway
A man in his mid-twenties was fatally shot on Harrow Road, Wembley, sparking a murder investigation. Police were called at 8.10pm on Friday, 5 July after reports of a shooting.
Armed Police and Ambulance Rush to Scene
Officers, including armed police, and the Ambulance Service arrived at the scene to find the victim with critical gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a north London hospital but sadly died shortly after.
Crime Scene Closed, No Arrests Yet
The victim’s next of kin have been informed. Formal identification and a post-mortem will follow. Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command, working closely with Brent police, are leading the inquiry.
A crime scene remains in place, and motorists are urged to avoid the area. No arrests have been made, and enquiries are ongoing.
Community Appeal for Information
Local residents can expect an increased police presence in the neighbourhood. Cllr Saqib Butt expressed condolences: “Thoughts and prayers go out for the victim’s family. Thanks to the ambulance staff who worked hard to try to save this young person.”
