Bomb Scare Shuts Down Major Fulham Road

Police and explosive experts rushed to Jim Griffiths House on Lillie Road, South West London, this afternoon after a suspected device was reported.

Emergency Crews on High Alert

Officers formed up at a rendezvous point near Normand Croft while the investigation was underway. The Met closed a major Fulham road in both directions for several hours as they inspected the suspicious items.

No Danger Found, Cordon Lifted

A Met Police spokesperson confirmed: “Police were called at 12:37pm after reports of suspicious items inside a residential property on Lillie Road. Specialist officers attended and set up a cordon.”

“After assessment, the items were deemed safe and the cordon was lifted,” they added.
