Woman in Critical Condition After Being Hit by Bus Near Mile End

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

A woman is fighting for her life after being struck by a bus on Grove Road near Mile End Underground station. The crash happened just after 7.30pm on Thursday evening, prompting a heavy emergency response.

Road Closures and Bus Disruptions

Police have shut Grove Road northbound from Mile End Road in both directions. This has caused chaos for bus routes 277, 323, 339, 425, D6, and D7, all disrupted between Mile End Road and Roman Road as crews work at the scene.

Victim in Critical Condition

A Met Police spokesperson said:

“Police were called at approximately 7.30pm on Thursday, December 5, to reports of a bus colliding with a pedestrian in Grove Road. Officers and London Ambulance Service attended, and the pedestrian, a woman in her 50s, was taken to an East London hospital for treatment. She remains in critical condition. No arrests; enquiries continue.”

Road closures remain as investigations into the cause of this serious collision continue.
