Woman Assaulted on Night Bus in London – Police Seek Suspect
In the early hours of Friday, 5 August 2022, a shocking sexual assault took place on a London N9 bus heading from central London to Hounslow. The incident happened around 2:50am on the lower deck of the bus.
Suspect Boards at Hammersmith, Assaults Woman
The offender got on at Hammersmith, sat next to a woman, then suddenly kissed her on the lips and wrapped his arms around her. The woman fought back, pushing him away repeatedly before a bystander stepped in and she managed to leave the bus safely.
Police Release Image, Urge Public to Help
“We are releasing this image in the hope that someone will recognise this man and provide his details to police,” said Detective Inspector Jonathan Potter of the Roads and Transport Policing Command. “Sexual abuse of any kind will not be tolerated, and those who choose to engage in such behaviour will face consequences.”
