Axe and Metal Bar Brawl Shocks Forster Street
Chaos erupted on Forster Street around 3pm on Saturday, 6 May. Police raced to the scene after reports of two men squaring up with weapons in broad daylight.
One Man Arrested, Suspect on the Run
Officers arrested one man for affray, uncovering an axe and metal bar stashed in his car. The other man fled, disappearing into the local streets. Despite a thorough search and a police raid on a nearby address, the suspect remains at large.
Police Hunt Crucial CCTV Witness
PC Jack Cook, leading the investigation, said:
“This was obviously distressing for residents to witness, and we are determined to catch the other person involved in this incident.”
“It is completely unacceptable for people to arm themselves with weapons and attempt to use them in the street.”
“We are calling on the public’s help to identify a man in the CCTV image released. Do you know who he is? Are you the man in the image? He could hold vital clues to our investigation, and I would urge the public to get in touch as soon as possible.”
