Hit and Run Horror in Johnstone: Teen Left Injured as Biker Flees
Police in Johnstone are hunting a hit and run driver after a shocking crash involving a motorbike and a 15-year-old pedestrian on Cochranemill Road.
Teen Rushed to Hospital
The incident happened at around 7.20pm on Thursday, October 5, 2023. Emergency crews raced to the scene where the injured teenager was treated before being rushed to Glasgow’s Royal Hospital for Children. The motorbike rider made off, leaving the youth seriously hurt.
Police Urge Witnesses to Step Up
Sergeant Alasdair Bisset, leading the investigation, called on anyone who stopped to help before emergency services arrived to come forward. “They could hold crucial information,” he said. Authorities are also keen to hear from anyone with dashcam footage or who saw the crash live.
