Man Attacks Elderly Couple Over “Seat Dispute” on Train
Just before 3pm on 19 April, a shocking incident unfolded on a train at James Street station. A 71-year-old woman was sitting peacefully in an empty seat when a man suddenly unleashed a barrage of abuse at her.
As the man shouted inches from her face, an 81-year-old gentleman stepped in to defend the woman. The attacker snapped back, claiming, “she was in my seat” – then punched the elderly man right in the eye.
Staff Step In to Remove Aggressor
Luckily, two staff members quickly intervened and removed the violent man from the service, preventing any further harm.
