Murder Probe Launched After Lambeth Stabbing

Police have launched a murder investigation following a fatal stabbing in Lambeth last Thursday evening. Officers were called to reports of a fight near Overton Road, SW9, at around 5:55pm on 20 August.

Two Men Stabbed, One Dies

  • A man in his 20s was found with stab wounds on Overton Road. He was rushed to hospital and remains in a stable condition.
  • A second man, also believed to be in his 20s, was discovered with stab injuries on Wynne Road, SW9. Sadly, he died in hospital at 8:53pm. Police are working to inform his next of kin.

Overturned Car Linked to Attack

Nearby Marcella Road saw an overturned car believed to be connected to the violence. Crime scenes remain sealed off as enquiries continue.

No Arrests Yet, Section 60 in Effect

No suspects have been arrested so far. A Section 60 stop-and-search order is active across postcode areas SW9, SW4, SW8, SE11, and SE5. It runs until 9am on Friday, 21 August.
