Murder Horror in Bournemouth: Woman Found Dead with Stab Wounds
Detectives have launched a murder probe after a woman was found lifeless in a Bournemouth flat today.
Stabbing Shock on Richmond Hill
At 5am on Sunday 8 July 2018, Dorset Police were called following reports that a man suffered stab wounds to his leg in the Richmond Hill area.
Officers rushed to the scene and discovered the body of a woman inside a flat on Richmond Gardens. Her next of kin have not yet been informed.
Man Arrested and Taken to Hospital
The injured man, 20, from Bournemouth, was arrested on suspicion of murder but was immediately taken to hospital for treatment.
The coroner has been notified, and a full investigation is underway led by Dorset Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team (MCIT).
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Chief Inspector Sarah Derbyshire said: “The woman was found with stab wounds and we are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death. A post-mortem will confirm the cause. We urge anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious overnight or early today to come forward.”
A crime scene cordon remains in place at Richmond Gardens while investigators carry out house-to-house inquiries and review CCTV footage.
