Police launched an urgent investigation after the body of a newborn baby was discovered in New Eltham around 5am on Sunday, 30 January.
Officers and London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene, but tragically, the baby was pronounced dead. A post-mortem examination is set to take place soon.
