Two Teens Stabbed to Death Within a Mile in South East London

Tragedy struck Abbey Wood and Thamesmead on Saturday evening as two 16-year-old boys were fatally stabbed just a mile apart. Police were called around 5.10pm to Sewell Road, Abbey Wood, and Titmuss Avenue, Thamesmead, where officers and emergency services found both teens with stab wounds.

Police Launch Dual Murder Probes

Despite frantic efforts from London’s Air Ambulance and paramedics, both boys were pronounced dead at the scenes. Crime scenes remain active as detectives launch two murder investigations, working to uncover any connection between the attacks.

Urgent Appeal for Information

A Section 60 order is now in place, giving police extra search powers until 8am Sunday. Authorities urge anyone with information to call 101, quoting reference 4943/26NOV. Tips can also be made anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

“Given the proximity in time and distance, officers are urgently working to establish if the attacks are linked,” police said. Support is being offered to the victims’ families by specialist officers.
