Man Assaulted Outside Portchester Crematorium – Police Seek Witnesses

Police are hunting for witnesses after a man was brutally assaulted outside Portchester Crematorium last Friday afternoon.

The attack happened between 2pm and 3pm on 7 November in the crematorium’s car park on Upper Cornaway Lane. The victim suffered injuries to his face and hand following a collision involving two cars on nearby Southampton Road, Portsmouth.

Crash Between Two Audis Sparks Violent Assault

The victim was driving a white Audi Q7 when it collided with a silver Audi A5. The crash apparently triggered the violent attack.

64-Year-Old Arrested for GBH and Fleeing Scene

Police have arrested a 64-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and failing to stop after the collision. He is currently in custody as officers continue their investigation.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed either the collision on Southampton Road or the assault in the crematorium car park to come forward.
