Eighth Arrest Made After Ashford Knife Disturbance

Police have arrested an eighth suspect following a violent disturbance in Ashford’s County Square.

Weapons Seen at Tuesday Clash

Officers were called just after 1.30pm on Tuesday 4 February 2020 after reports of a heated scuffle between two groups. Witnesses spotted some carrying weapons before the crowd scattered. Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Knives Seized as Investigation Continues

Three knives were recovered at the scene, escalating concerns about the incident. On Friday 7 February, a 19-year-old Ashford man was hauled in on suspicion of affray and remains in custody.

Police Crack Down on Disorder

This latest arrest brings the total to eight as officers continue their probe into the violent sprawl across the normally quiet town centre.
