Police are hunting for witnesses after a brutal robbery in Portsmouth.

Victim Attacked Near Jacob’s Ladder

On Friday, July 8, around 8pm, a 30-year-old man was walking near the ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ footbridge on Greetham Street when trouble struck. He was grabbed from behind by a man brandishing a pen-knife.

Accomplices Linked to Violent Assault

Two others joined in – a man and a woman walking a dog – who allegedly held the victim down and punched him. The attackers then made off with the victim’s treasured navy-blue, knee-length River Island coat. Inside was £83 in cash, keys, two rings, and a Nokia phone.
