Tragic Fatality After Romford Pedestrian Hit on A12
Police are hunting for witnesses after a deadly road crash in Romford. At around 8.50pm on Wednesday, 19 June, a car collided with a 22-year-old woman on the A12 at Gallows Corner.
Young Woman Dies Following Collision
Emergency services, including London’s Air Ambulance, rushed to the scene. The female pedestrian was rushed to a south London hospital in critical condition but sadly died on Friday afternoon, 21 June. Her family has been informed.
Driver Stayed at Scene, Police Investigate
The driver stopped and was not arrested. Police are probing the full circumstances of the smash. Detective Sergeant Jose Qureshi, leading the inquiry, urged:
“Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident. I am asking for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has dash cam footage, to make contact with us as soon as possible.”
