Horror in Hackney: Two Young Girls Targeted in Attempted Abduction

Detectives in Hackney are hunting a suspect after two young girls were almost kidnapped in Stoke Newington.

Shock Attempt on Coronation Avenue

At around 7pm on Friday, 7 September, two girls aged six and nine were playing together near Coronation Avenue, N16. Suddenly, an unknown man grabbed them and led them to a secluded spot nearby.

Girls Escape After Screaming for Help

The brave children screamed for help, forcing the suspect to flee the scene. Police were alerted shortly after 8.15pm and launched an immediate investigation.

Suspect Description and Ongoing Hunt

  • Wearing all dark clothing
  • Light-coloured face covering or mask
  • Details remain unclear as officers continue door-to-door and CCTV enquiries

Police Plea for Witnesses

No arrests have been made yet. Hackney CID leads the probe, treating the case as an attempted abduction. Authorities believe this to be an isolated incident but urge the public to be vigilant.
