CCTV snaps suspect in late-night train attack
Detectives hunting a sexual assault suspect have released CCTV pictures of a man wanted in connection with a shocking attack on the 11:14pm train from Paddington to Oxford.
The vile incident happened on Thursday, 6 March, around 11:30pm. The suspect boarded and approached a woman in her 20s, attempting to sit beside her before carrying out a sexual assault.
He then lingered nearby, watching the victim, before attacking her a second time. The terrified woman reported the ordeal to police as soon as she could.
Police issue urgent appeal
British Transport Police have published a CCTV image showing a man described as average build, short dark hair, wearing a dark jacket.
“This was a deeply distressing incident for the victim, and we are doing everything we can to find the person responsible,” said a police spokesperson. “We appeal to anyone on the train or who recognises the man to come forward immediately.”
