Police Hunt Troublemakers After Violent Illegal Rave in White City

Detectives have released images and footage of suspects linked to a violent outburst at an unlicensed music event on Havelock Estate, White City, in July.

The chaos unfolded on the evening of Friday, 3 July, when police were called to an illegal rave at Havelock Close, Hammersmith and Fulham W12. Officers tried to calm the crowd and clear the area but were met with hostility.

Bricks and Bottles Thrown at Officers

As tensions soared, people hurled bricks and bottles at officers, forcing police to fall back and regroup. Specialist public order units were then deployed to disperse the unruly crowd.

The hostile crowd met the reinforcements with even more violence. A Dispersal Zone was put in place under the Anti-Social Behaviour Crime and Policing Act 2014, alongside a section 60 order. By around 1:15am, the crowd had been broken up.

11 Officers Injured, Including Two with Broken Bones

Eleven officers were hurt during the chaos. Thankfully, none were seriously injured, though two suffered broken bones.

No arrests have been made yet, but investigations continue. Acting Detective Sergeant Karl Lewis condemned the violence: “The hostility and violence officers faced is absolutely unacceptable. They dealt with bricks and bottles being thrown at them while responding to multiple reports of noise, anti-social behaviour, and violence.”

Police Crack Down on Illegal Raves

Unlicensed music events (UMEs) are illegal, unregulated, and often linked to trouble. They lack security, insurance, and proper ticketing. Attending them puts people in danger.

Police say they act fast to shut down these events. Officers work with organisers and councils, seizing sound systems and laptops when organisers refuse to comply. They can also disperse crowds and make arrests if necessary.

Anyone who can identify the people pictured is urged to call police on 101 with reference CRIS 6014388/20.
