Tragic Death of a Sheffield Chef

Carlo Giannini, an Italian-born pizza chef living in Sheffield, was found dead in Manor Fields Park in the early hours of May 12, 2022. He had been stabbed to death in a shocking attack that stunned the local community.

Investigation Hits Roadblocks

The crime scene was combed through thoroughly, with four knives recovered, but none linked definitively to Carlo or the killer. Six people have been questioned—five on suspicion of murder and one for assisting an offender—but no arrests have been made.

“Our officers have worked tirelessly over the past two years, leaving no stone unturned. Carlo’s family has been at the forefront of our minds throughout this large-scale murder investigation,” said Detective Chief Inspector Becky Hodgman, the lead investigator.
