Police rushed to Victoria Tower Gardens just after 11:30am today after reports of a suspicious package near the heart of the Parliamentary estate. Officers quickly moved to assess the potential threat.

Metropolitan Police spokesperson: “Officers were called to Victoria Tower Gardens, SW1 at 11:37hrs following reports of a suspicious package. The item has now been assessed and confirmed as non-suspicious.”
