Chaos erupted on Plumstead High Street after a savage stabbing during a violent street fight. Police shut the A205 between Lakedale Road and Kentmere Road, sparking huge travel havoc across the area.
Bus Routes Diverted, School Trapped Inside Police Cordon
All Transport for London buses have been rerouted via Kings Highway as officers maintain a tight cordon around the scene. Nearby, a local primary school remains stuck inside the sealed zone as the investigation unfolds.
Three Police Officers Injured in Shocking Clash
Eyewitnesses reported that one brawler stabbed a cop amid the fracas. Three officers suffered minor cuts but are expected to make full recoveries. The fight broke out between three men at 2:15pm on Tuesday, 31 October.
Two Arrested, One Suspect on the Loose
The Met Police have detained two men on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. Both remain in custody at a south London station. A third suspect is still at large, with detectives hunting for answers.
Detective Superintendent Lee Hill said: “Detectives are now investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident and enquiries are underway to identify and locate the third suspect.
My officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or can assist by providing footage or images that may have been captured at the scene.”
