Man’s Gold Chain Snatched in Bold Chatham Hug-and-Run
Shoppers in Chatham town centre are on high alert after a crafty distraction theft on Monday, 18 November 2024. At around 2:30 pm on the busy High Street, a man was hugged unexpectedly by a stranger – a woman who quickly legged it toward Military Road. When he checked, his gold chain with a distinctive lion emblem had vanished.
Suspect Description: White Woman in All-White Outfit
The suspect is described as a slim white woman, aged 20 to 25, with brown hair. Witnesses say she spoke with an Eastern European accent. She was spotted wearing a white woollen hat, white top, and white trousers at the time of the theft.
