Pub Boss Fury After Charity Box Stolen in Shocking Grab
Andy Lily, landlord of the Park Tavern in Portsmouth, has slammed a “disgusting theft” after a charity box was snatched right under his staff’s noses.
Thief Strikes Under Cover of Water Request
The nightmare unfolded around 10.30pm on Thursday, October 28. While staff were serving behind the bar, a woman entered asking for a drink of water. As their backs were turned, she swiftly cut the string on the charity box and made off with the takings.
Andy revealed they only realised the box was missing the next morning when a customer wanted to add their loose change. Checking the CCTV, the enraged manager caught the heartless theft on camera and reported it to police.
