Teen Girl Raped Near Cotleigh Road Sparks Major Police Hunt
A shocking attack unfolded near St Edwards Way close to Cotleigh Road at around 11.35pm on Friday, June 21, when a 15-year-old girl was reportedly raped. The incident has prompted a full-scale police investigation and the establishment of a crime scene.
Met Police Launch Thorough Probe
The Metropolitan Police confirmed today (July 1) they have undertaken a “thorough and detailed investigation”, reviewing CCTV footage, carrying out forensic tests, and interviewing witnesses.
A Met spokesperson told the Romford Recorder: “All lines of enquiry have been explored. At this time, there is no evidence of a wider risk to the community.”
No Arrests Yet, But Investigation Ongoing
Despite an intensive probe, no arrests have been made. Police insist the case remains active and warn this could change if new information emerges.
“We understand reports of this nature can cause considerable concern. We want to reassure the community that this matter has been taken extremely seriously,” a spokesperson added.
