Six Nabbed in Portsmouth Drugs Crackdown
Portsmouth police smashed a major drug operation yesterday, snapping up six suspects during a Fortress day of action targeting Class A dealers.
Teens and Londoners Among Those Arrested
- 12:20pm: A 17-year-old Portsmouth boy was caught in Britannia Road North, suspected of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply.
- 3:20pm: A 22-year-old London man was arrested in Rivers Street on suspicion of involvement in Class A drug supply.
- 4:40pm: Four more arrests in Somers Road – including a 20-year-old London woman and a 22-year-old Portsmouth man, both suspected of possessing Class A drugs.
- Also detained were a 17-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man from London, suspected of Class A drug supply conspiracy.
All Released but Under Investigation
All six suspects have since been released but remain under police investigation. Officers urge anyone witnessing drug deals or suspicious activity in the area to come forward.
