Man Stabbed in Streatham High Road Horror

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

The Metropolitan Police and London Ambulance Service (LAS) were called to the scene at 4:10am on Tuesday, December 24. Paramedics treated the victim on site before hurrying him to a major trauma centre in London.

An LAS spokesperson said:

“We were called at 4.10am to reports of a stabbing incident in Streatham High Road, SW16. We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response car, and an incident response officer. Our first crew arrived in less than a minute and treated the man before taking him to hospital.”

Police have confirmed the victim’s injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.

Road Closures Cause Chaos

Streatham High Road, part of the busy A23 linking London to Brighton, has been shut for over six hours. The closure has caused heavy traffic delays and forced bus routes to divert.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes as emergency services deal with the aftermath.

Police Hunt Suspects

Detectives revealed no arrests have been made yet, with investigations ongoing.

The Met Police said:

“At this early stage, there have been no arrests. Road closures remain in place, and we continue to investigate.”

Community on Edge this Festive Season

Streatham High Road is a busy hub, especially during the holidays. Locals are alarmed by the violent attack and urged to stay vigilant and report any information to police.

Witnesses Wanted

Police are appealing for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage, or who saw the incident, to come forward and assist the investigation.
