A suspect has been arrested after a police pursuit through Selly Oak, which ended in a crash in Cotteridge.

Officers from the Road Crime Team spotted a suspect vehicle that had been linked to a series of burglaries in the West Mercia policing area. When police attempted to stop the car, the driver refused to comply and sped off, leading to a chase.

The pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed in Cotteridge, at which point the suspect attempted to flee on foot. However, officers quickly apprehended and arrested him before he could escape.

Ongoing Investigation

The suspect remains in custody while officers continue to investigate the burglary offences linked to the vehicle. Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
