At 3.04pm, witnesses spotted the gunman, who fled the scene in a vehicle. Armed officers quickly intercepted the car at the junction of Kensington Road and Palace Gate, SW7, just 15 minutes later. Shots were fired during the stop, leaving the man with critical gunshot wounds.
Emergency Services Rush to Scene
- London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance were scrambled immediately.
- The man was treated at the scene but sadly pronounced dead at 4.08pm.
- Police are working to confirm his identity and notify his next of kin.
