£20k E-Bike Heist Busted in Wiltshire

Wiltshire Police acted fast after thieves swiped e-bikes worth a whopping £20,000 from a Winsley home near Bradford-on-Avon.

Thieves Cut Locks and Fled with Bikes

The raid happened on May 2, when burglars used bolt cutters to snap the locks. They then loaded three stolen e-bikes into a van and made a quick getaway.

Police Chase Leads to Quick Arrests

The Wiltshire Burglary Team, backed by specialist units, tracked the stolen van to Foxhill in Bath. When the suspects tried to flee on foot, officers were waiting.

  • A 35-year-old man was arrested for theft and Class A drug possession.
  • A 39-year-old man was also cuffed on suspicion of theft and Class B drug possession.
  • Both remain in police custody.

Detective Praises ‘Relentless’ Police Work

“We are relentless in our determination to bring such offenders to justice,” said Detective Inspector Tom Ellerby. “The stolen bikes were returned to their owner within two hours of the crime being reported.”

Police say this quick action sends a clear message: crime doesn’t pay in Wiltshire.
