Teen Stabbed to Death on Croydon Bus
A 17-year-old boy has been fatally stabbed on a bus in Croydon, sparking a murder investigation. The attack happened at around 8.30pm tonight while the bus was travelling along Whitehorse Lane, South Norwood.
Emergency Services Race to Scene
Paramedics found the teenager suffering multiple knife wounds but sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene by 9.07pm. A Met Police spokesperson said:
“Enquiries are under way to inform his next of kin.”
Whitehorse Lane Closed, No Arrests Yet
Detectives have launched a full murder probe. Part of Whitehorse Lane remains closed as officers work the scene. So far, no arrests have been made.
Police Given Extra Powers Amid Rising Tension
A Section 60 order has been authorised until 1.10pm on Monday, March 9, allowing officers extra stop-and-search powers. The order covers Selhurst, Thornton Heath, Bensham Manor, South Norwood, Woodside, Addington North, and Addington South as police hunt those responsible for the brutal attack.
