Teen Stabbed to Death in Leeds – Murder Probe Launched
Police in Leeds have launched a murder investigation after a 15-year-old boy was fatally stabbed in Horsforth.
Attack Sparks Major Police Operation
Officers rushed to Town Street, Horsforth, shortly before 3pm today following reports of a serious assault. Emergency services found the teenage victim critically injured and rushed him to hospital, where he later died.
Arrest Made as Forensics Swarm Crime Scene
Police have sealed off the area for forensic examinations. A teenage male has been arrested in connection with the stabbing. The boy’s family have been informed and are being supported.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Senior investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Stacey Atkinson said: “Our investigation is at an early stage and we are carrying out extensive enquiries to establish exactly what led to this needless loss of a young man’s life.
“We understand the immense impact and huge shock a tragic incident of this nature will have on the local community.
“Our neighbourhood police team are working with partners, including schools in the area to offer support and reassurance.
“We have already spoken to a number of witnesses and are keen to hear from anyone who has information about the incident.”
