Deadly Tesla Cybertruck Blast Rocks Trump International Hotel in Vegas
A terrifying explosion ripped through a Tesla Cybertruck in the valet zone of the Trump International Hotel, Las Vegas, killing the driver and injuring seven others. Authorities are now probing the blast as a potential terror attack.
Blast Details: Death and Damage at Prime Vegas Hotel
The explosion erupted at 8:40 a.m. local time on Wednesday, sending shockwaves through the hotel’s busy valet area. The driver, whose identity remains under wraps, died in the fire sparked by the blast. Seven others nearby suffered minor injuries and were rushed to hospital.
Clark County officials confirmed parts of the 64-story Trump hotel were evacuated after a loud bang, screams, and frantic escape orders. Emergency crews responded immediately to the chaotic scene.
FBI Joins Probe as Terror Attack Suspected
Three senior law enforcement sources revealed the incident is under terror investigation, with the FBI joining local police in the inquiry. Tesla boss Elon Musk chimed in on social media, blaming the explosion on “very large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck.”
“This is unrelated to the vehicle itself,” Musk insisted, confirming all Tesla vehicle telemetry showed normal readings before the blast.
No Link to New Orleans Ford Attack
Despite both vehicles being rented from the same company, officials say the Vegas blast is not connected to the deadly Ford pick-up truck attack in New Orleans earlier this week.
Shock and Praise from Trump Family and Guests
Eric Trump, Trump Organization’s EVP, took to social media praising the rapid response from firefighters and police: “We are grateful for the professionalism and quick action of first responders.”
Guests fleeing the hotel described chaotic scenes. Mary Lescano Paguada from Texas said: “We heard an explosion and saw law enforcement rushing in. Hotel staff told us to get out and warned us not to breathe the smoke.”
Tesla Vows Transparency, Investigation Ongoing
The Tesla team is digging deep into the incident. Musk promised transparency and reassured the public that the Cybertruck’s design is not to blame. Authorities continue to hunt for criminal motives and possible terrorism links as the investigation unfolds.
The Trump International Hotel remains partially evacuated while experts comb the scene for more clues.
