Tragedy at Pendeen Cliff: Man Found Dead in Car Near Lighthouse
Body Discovered at Bottom of Cliff
Just before 2pm on Sunday, June 12, police rushed to Pendeen Cliff near the iconic Pendeen Lighthouse after reports of a vehicle spotted at the cliff’s base.
Emergency Services Respond
The Coastguard and Ambulance Service attended the scene, where they found the body of a man inside the car.
No Suspicious Circumstances
Authorities confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious. A file is being prepared for the coroner.
Family Notified
The deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Richard Mockford, who had been reported missing since Friday, June 10. His family has been informed of the tragic news.
