Thieves Caught Red-Handed After Car Break-In Foiled by Sharp Woman
Two masked men were caught trying to nick a car in Aston Clinton – but fled empty-handed after the owner spotted them. The brazen attempt happened late Sunday night on Waring Crescent.
Car-Breaker Duo Spooked and Scattered
Between 10.45pm and 11pm on 27th September, a woman in her thirties heard suspicious noises outside her home. She caught sight of two men in all black, faces hidden, fiddling with her car door. She banged on her window, sending the pair running – luckily, nothing was stolen.
Police Hunt for Witnesses as Suspects Nabbed
Staff investigator Hannah Mitchell urged locals to come forward. “If you saw anything odd or have dash-cam or CCTV footage from the area at the time, please get in touch,” she said.
“The suspects were later found with items possibly taken from another vehicle. Please check your cars for any damage or missing belongings.”
- A 28-year-old man from High Wycombe and a 24-year-old from Chesham were arrested on suspicion of vehicle theft.
- Both have been released on bail until 21 October.
