Third Teen Dies After Horror Tong Crash
A devastating crash on Offoxey Road, Tong, Shropshire, has claimed the life of a third teenager. Jenson Bridges, 17, from Brewood, Staffordshire, passed away in hospital on Sunday night (March 16), two days after the crash involving four teens.
Fatal Smash Involving Four Teens
The smash happened just after 11pm on Friday (March 14), when a silver Audi A1 left the road and crashed. Simon Evans, 18, from Perton, wolverhampton/" title="Wolverhampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Wolverhampton, died at the scene despite desperate efforts to save him. Jacob Holeman, 17, from Codsall, died the next day in hospital. Jenson’s death brings the toll to three.
Another 17-year-old remains in hospital with life-changing injuries but is reported to be in stable condition.
Police Hunt Witnesses and Evidence
West Mercia Police revealed the Audi had been travelling alongside a red Vauxhall Corsa and a black Volkswagen Golf shortly before the crash, though neither vehicle was involved. Inspector Steph Arrowsmith, leading the investigation, said:
“Sadly, three teenagers have died and one remains in hospital with life-changing injuries in this tragic incident. Our thoughts are with all those affected. We continue to carry out enquiries and thank everyone who has come forward.”
Officers urge anyone who saw the crash, the cars earlier that evening, or has dashcam footage to get in touch.
Community Mourns Lost Teens
The local community has been left reeling, with floral tributes piling up at the crash site. Friends and family describe the three young men as “kind-hearted,” “bright,” and “full of life.”
No arrests have been made yet. The investigation remains ongoing.
