McDonald’s worker sprayed in the face with mystery substance – turns out to be perfume!

A tense scene unfolded at the McDonald’s on Commercial Road, Portsmouth, on Sunday evening, September 9. At around 6.45pm, a staff member was suddenly sprayed in the face with an unknown substance. Emergency services rushed to the scene, fearing the worst.

It Was Just Perfume – Victim OK

Thankfully, it’s now believed the spray was simply perfume. The unlucky worker, a 22-year-old man, was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital but released after treatment with no lasting injuries.

Teen Arrested – But Later Freed

A 13-year-old girl from Fratton was arrested on suspicion of administering a poison or noxious thing with intent to injure, aggrieve, or annoy. However, she was de-arrested upon arrival at custody. She is set to attend a voluntary interview later today.
