Three Nabbed After £5 Million Drug Haul at Dover Port
Police swooped on the port of Dover this week, arresting three suspects after two huge cocaine busts. Officers found a secret stash of 140 kilos hidden in the floor void of one HGV, worth a staggering £14 million.
Elsewhere, customs uncovered 50 kilos concealed in holdalls inside lockers of a second HGV carrying toy building blocks. This haul is valued at around £5 million on the streets.
Suspects in Custody
Gerrit Van Eckeveld, 62, from Nieuwegein, was arrested over the 140-kilo find. He’s now been charged with importing cocaine. Meanwhile, two Czech nationals tied to the 50-kilo seizure were released under investigation as police continue their enquiries.
