Huge Nitrous Oxide Haul as Police Raid Rubery Store
Three people have been arrested after cops stormed a Rubery shop last night, seizing over 100 large nitrous oxide cannisters in a major crackdown.
Big Bust in Rubery
The Hagley and Rubery Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) swooped on a New Road premises, backed by neighbouring SNT teams and Trading Standards. They executed a warrant under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, uncovering a stash that points straight to illegal supply.
Inside the Store: What Police Found
- 107 one-litre cannisters of nitrous oxide – aka “laughing gas”
- Distribution kit including balloons and bags
- Mobile phones and evidence documents
- Illegal vapes seized by Trading Standards
Nitrous oxide is classed as a Class C controlled substance. Since November 2023, it’s been illegal across the UK to possess, supply, or sell it for recreational use.
Three Arrested, All in Custody
Two suspects in their 20s and one in their 30s were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. They remain in custody, helping police with enquiries.
