The other driver, a 16-year-old boy, has been hauled in by police. He’s suspected of dangerous driving, failing to stop, and aggravated vehicle taking. Police say the teen was being chased moments before the crash.
Independent Police Watchdog Launches Probe
“We have started an independent investigation into this serious road traffic collision,” said an Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) spokesperson. “The incident happened at 2.25pm on 16 March. The teenage driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries before being put into police custody. The other three occupants suffered serious injuries and remain in hospital.”
