Wiltshire Baby Dies After Horrific A303 Crash
Tragedy on the A303
A heartbreaking accident has claimed the life of 16-month-old Teddy following a nasty three-vehicle smash on the A303 near Amesbury on Friday, 28 March. Emergency crews including Wiltshire and Bath, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, and Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulances raced to the scene.
According to Wiltshire Police, the crash happened when a grey Skoda Karoq joined the eastbound A303 at Amesbury Road and collided with a white Peugeot 208 travelling in the same direction. The impact sent the Peugeot spinning across the barriers onto the westbound carriageway where it smashed head-on into a silver Volvo V70.
The Peugeot’s driver, a woman in her 20s from Andover, was seriously injured. Her toddler son, Teddy, suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to hospital.
Heartbreaking Loss
After a desperate fight for life, Teddy’s mother, Holly Britten, broke the devastating news on social media:
“It’s with a truly broken heart that I say this, but our gorgeous boy gained his wings today. He was truly the sweetest, most loving little character that we were blessed to have. Our hearts are shattered into pieces. Teddy Jason, this isn’t a goodbye—just a see you later.”
In a follow-up post, Holly thanked the community for their support:
“My darling boy is now at peace. We will use the GoFundMe to give him the best possible send-off. Thank you to everyone who has reached out—your love hasn’t gone unnoticed. Teddy, you will be missed, my darling.”
