Tragic Crash on Leeds Ring Road Claims Young Life
18-year-old Polite Moyo died in a horrific crash on the A6120 Ring Road, Leeds, in the early hours of Friday morning. The white Audi A3 he was in veered off the westbound carriageway at 03:28 and slammed into a telegraph pole at the Parkside Road junction in Meanwood.
Two Dead at Scene, One Hospitalised
Polite Moyo and a 19-year-old woman were pronounced dead at the scene. An 18-year-old man remains in hospital in critical but stable condition. The family of Polite have paid a heartfelt tribute, calling him a “lovely handsome gentleman” with a “pure and beautiful soul” whose kindness touched all who knew him.
Man Arrested Over Dangerous Driving
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving but has since been released on bail pending further investigation.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
The Major Collision Enquiry Team (MCET) is urging anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the white Audi A3 before the collision to come forward. Drivers in the area and local residents are asked to check their dashcam or CCTV recordings.
