A 23-year-old man died yesterday afternoon after crashing into a stationary police van in Liverpool.
High-Speed Pursuit Ends in Horror
The grim collision took place at around 3.15pm on Back Falkner Street South during a Merseyside Police operation.
The man, riding an electrically assisted pedal cycle, failed to stop when officers tried to pull him over.
Emergency Response Fails to Save Young Rider
He lost control of his bike and slammed straight into the parked police van. Officers quickly rushed to the scene, administering first aid and CPR.
Tragically, their efforts were in vain as he was pronounced dead at the scene.
