Heartbreak hit Glen Esk on Thursday, 19 October, when Wendy Taylor, 57, was swept away by the fast-flowing Water of Lee. The drama unfolded just after 1.45pm, sparking an urgent response from officers who rushed to the scene.

Body Recovered – No Suspicious Circumstances

After a tense search, Wendy’s body was recovered around 4.00pm BST. Police Scotland confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal for further investigation.

Family Mourns Beloved Wendy

“Wendy was a beautiful, kind, funny, and caring person – a ray of sunshine for everyone who knew her,” said her grieving family. “We are struggling to come to terms with this terrible loss.”
