Tragic Crash Claims Life of Southampton Motorist
Tributes have poured in for Anthony Hurst, 67, who died after a collision on Lordshill Way, Southampton, last Friday.
The fatal smash happened at 6.30pm on June 28. Mr Hurst was behind the wheel of a silver Vauxhall Corsa when it collided with a single-decker bus.
Family Praise Loving Grandad and Husband
His family described him as a “loving husband, father and grandad.” They said:
“This collision has come as a great shock to his loved ones and friends, who are all grieving his sudden loss. We would like to thank the emergency services and send our thoughts to those involved.”
Bus Driver and Passengers Injured
The 34-year-old bus driver was rushed to Southampton General Hospital. Ten passengers also suffered minor injuries and were treated at the same hospital.
Police Seek Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
The investigation into the crash is ongoing. Police are appealing for witnesses and any dashcam footage to come forward.
