Police Hunt Witnesses After Fatal Crash

The horror unfolded at 6:02pm on Monday, 22nd September, near Every Street on Colne Road. Gillian was crossing the road when a white Mercedes CLA struck her.

A 24-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has been released on bail while investigations continue.

Lancashire Police are urging anyone who saw the crash or the vehicle beforehand to come forward. They’re also seeking dashcam footage or any information that could aid their inquiry.
