Triple Attempted Murder Probe Launched After Brutal Clapham High Street Stabbing
Violent Attack Shakes Clapham
A triple attempted murder investigation is underway following a savage stabbing on Clapham High Street late Thursday night.
Emergency services were scrambled to the junction of Clapham High Street and Bedford Road, SW4, at 9:09 PM on 10 April after calls reported a serious assault involving several people.
Rapid Emergency Response
A London Ambulance Service (LAS) spokesperson revealed:
“We were called at 9:09 PM on Thursday, 10 April, about a stabbing at the junction of Clapham High Street and Bedford Road.
We dispatched ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, and an incident response officer. A trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance was also sent.
Our first paramedic arrived within four minutes. We treated a man at the scene and rushed him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
Three Arrested Following Stabbing Spree
The Metropolitan Police confirmed at 10:18 AM on Friday, 11 April, that three men have been arrested in connection to the vicious attack.
“Police were called to Clapham High Street at 9:11 PM on Thursday, 10 April following stabbing reports.
Officers arrived alongside London Ambulance Service, who treated a man at the scene before rushing him to hospital.
Two more men later self-presented at hospital with injuries.
All three suspects have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Their injuries are non-life threatening and non-life changing.
The investigation is ongoing.”
Crime Scene Chaos and Community Concern
Forensic teams worked through the early hours Friday as police kept the area around Clapham High Street and Bedford Road cordoned off.
The stabbing took place beneath a busy railway bridge near Clapham North Station, causing traffic disruption and sparking alarm within the local community.
