Major Drug Raids Rock Coventry, Dagenham, and Plumstead
The National Crime Agency (NCA) has smashed a huge drug operation with coordinated raids across Coventry, Dagenham, and Plumstead. Three men were arrested, and a significant stash of Class A and B drugs was seized during the swoops.
Three Men Arrested in Coventry and Dagenham
- A man in his 30s was arrested in Coventry on suspicion of producing and supplying controlled drugs.
- Two men were nabbed in Dagenham on the same charges, with one also suspected of an immigration offence.
Both suspects remain in custody as the investigation into the drug network intensifies.
Ongoing Searches in Plumstead and Dagenham
- In Plumstead, the NCA and Metropolitan Police searched a property on Kirkham Street from 9am, with operations still underway late into the night.
- London Fire Brigade and Ambulance crews were on standby as a precaution, but there is no risk to the public.
- A separate search continues at Tallow Close, Dagenham, where two of the three arrests were made. Authorities are conducting thorough searches at both locations.
NCA Vows to Break More Drug Rings
The NCA has not ruled out further arrests as the crackdown continues.
“These raids are part of our continued efforts to dismantle large-scale drug operations that fuel violent crime across the UK. We encourage anyone with information about drug-related crime to report it anonymously to Crimestoppers,” said an NCA spokesperson.
