Teen Fatally Stabbed in Shocking Triple Attack in Purley
A violent triple stabbing has rocked Purley, London, leaving one teenager dead and two others wounded. The bloodbath unfolded on Thursday night, sparking a major police response.
Teenager Dies at Scene
Police were called to Brighton Road, Croydon, at about 9.10pm last Thursday following reports of a stabbing. Despite the rapid arrival of officers, London Ambulance Service, and Air Ambulance, one male, believed to be in his late teens, died at the scene shortly before 10pm.
Two Others Hurt, One Arrested for Attempted Murder
A second teenager was found nearby with stab wounds and rushed to a south London hospital, where he remains in stable condition. A third male, also in his late teens, was discovered suffering from a slash wound near Purley Railway Station and taken to hospital.
In a shocking twist, the third injured youth has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Two more males have been arrested for possession of offensive weapons.
Linked Stabbings Prompt Police Investigation
Detectives confirmed the attacks at the High Street and the railway station are connected. Witnesses reported having to exit a local Pizza Express via the back door amid the chaos.
“Police were called at approximately 9.10pm on Thursday, 11 July to reports of a male stabbed on Brighton Road in Croydon,” a Met Police spokesperson said. “Despite their efforts, a male, believed to be aged in his late teens, died at the scene at 9.50pm.”
