Teens Held for Questioning

The suspects, aged 16 and 17, were arrested at their Wolverhampton homes this morning. Both are now in police custody, facing intense questioning. Meanwhile, specialist officers are supporting the girl’s family during this devastating time.

Forensics and Witness Appeals

Detective Chief Inspector Edward Foster, heading the homicide unit, said: “After finding the girl’s body, we sealed off West Park for a thorough forensic search. Our team is working round the clock. These arrests are the result of our ongoing investigations.”

He added: “Several people have come forward, but we still need to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious or a young girl in the park from Wednesday night onwards.”

West Park remains closed and is expected to stay shut over the weekend while inquiries continue.
