Tulse Hill Locked Down After 20-Year-Old Shot in Derrick House

Tulse Hill erupted into chaos on Friday night as armed police swarmed Derrick House following reports of a shooting. A young man in his 20s was shot outside a first-floor flat, sparking a full-on emergency response.

Armed Officers and Medics Rush to Scene

Police, paramedics, and a tactical response unit were called to Derrick House at around 9.40pm. The victim was treated on-site before being rushed to a major trauma centre. The London Ambulance Service confirmed that they also sent a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance to assist.

“We were called at 9.45pm to reports of an incident at Derrick House in Tulse Hill. We sent an ambulance crew, a tactical response unit, a fast response car, and a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance. The patient was treated at the scene and taken to a major trauma centre as a priority,” a spokesperson said.

Derrick House Under Heavy Guard

The first-floor flat remains a sealed crime scene with police cordons and armed officers posted at both the top and bottom of the stairwell. The investigation is ongoing, and officers are currently waiting for an update on the victim’s condition.
